AO PICKLEBALL SLAM
The inaugural AO Pickleball Slam ran from 24-26 January 2025 at the Australian Open, marking it the first professional pickleball tournament delivered during a Grand Slam event. Melbourne Park’s Show Court 3 was transformed overnight into a hub of high-energy action, and with a $100,000 prize pool on the table, the tournament attracted an elite roster of international and domestic talent.
The time-based team tournament came to a nail-biting conclusion as Team Hosier won a 5-point shootout to be crowned champions of the first AO Pickleball Slam. Congratulations to Michaela Haet, Harrison Brown, Joey Wild and Nicola Schoeman!

AO Pickleball fans had the chance to test their game against Collin Johns, the year-end #1 ranked doubles player from Austin, Texas and Idaho’s #5 ranked singles player Tyson McGuffin. Lucky fans joined Johns and McGuffin on court on Sunday 26 January to test their skills against the pros.
